Very late concentration 1

This concentration project is a personal project that is meant to help me grow as an artist. One of my biggest flaws as an artist has always been realistic proportion and anatomy, especially when it comes to human faces. My goal with this project was to break down the structure of a face, to hopefully improve my drawings in the future when I master some more difficult elements of human facial anatomy.
I am very happy with the progress I have made as a result of this project. My favorite part of it has to be the watercolor work on the skeleton and muscles. Watercolor was a secondary interest of mine, since I had been using it  a bit but never really worked on improving my skills. I think the coloring on this project came out very nice, and as a result it is pleasing to look at. I also quite enjoy the concept behind this project, with the deconstruction of the face.
However, my main issue with this project comes with the complete face in the bottom right. I don't know why it was so hard for me to make it look realistic when the other parts of the project, in my opinion, look quite nice. I was happy with it while I drew it, but looking back I'm not very proud of it. If I had to redo this project, I'd base this person on an actual photo. A lot of people thought it was supposed to be a self portrait but that really was unintentional. A good was to improve it I think would be to draw myself, rather than a generic face.
